I am the wife of a sex offender.

My husband was charged in 1995 for sexual battery. When he was 16 years old he had sex with a girl who was 13. The mother of this girl gave my husband and his sister drugs, beer and let kids party at her house. The mother was told by her daughter (the 13 year old) two years later that they had sex. So my husband was picked up by police after his 18th birthday, and was charged and convicted.

We would like to know what we could do to help ourselves and other like my husband who has dealt with this for 14 years now and has not had any other run ins with the law. My husband might lose his job of 5 years because of this

I am concerned not only for our finances but for our kids. We have two kids, a three year old and a two year old. When it is time for them to go to school he will not be able to pick them up, go to their school events, etc. He is a wonderful father and husband. We have been together for 6 years, and it’s hard. I am not going to lie and don't know what to do, or say or even the steps to take to get this off of my husband.
