Posting # 43 – Jeremy’s Story

By: Jeremy
Date:  03/05/2009

RSOL of Virginia,

I would sincerely like to thank you for the letter. I found it very informative, and somewhat uplifting. It was such an amazing feeling to know that someone else can at least empathize with my situation. I had begun to feel alone.

So many people have treated me like dirt since this whole thing has started nearly seven years ago. I was convicted of sexual battery of a minor. Sounds horrible, right? This monstrous sounding title correlates into a seventeen year old having sex with his fifteen year old girlfriend.

I have since been an ostracized victim everyday. I am thankful an employer gave me a chance, not without heavy consideration mind you. I am also thankful to have found a lovely woman to spend my life with, though I fear for our future.

What life can we possibly have with no prospects for anything better than a low paying manual labor job. I am attending school now. I have a year left, and seriously hope this helps my attempt to better my self financially. Sorry for dragging on. Just feels good to tell someone.

Once again, thank you very much. Have a great day.

Jeremy
