Posting #51 –The Energy to Fight, by Diane

RSOL of Virginia,

I am very concerned about the effects that current laws have on the everyday lives of individuals.

During the past few years, I have seen parents unable to be alone with their own children, deep depression caused by the stigma of accusations (if when they were not true), the effects of someone incarcerated when the charges were recanted, go to jail when the postman failed to deliver registrations, and constantly under stress of what is next and when will they just be able to live their lives...to note a few things.

It infuriates me to no end, to realize law enforcement uses polygraphs to verify whether or not someone on probation is not violating the conditions of their probation.  However, it must be too much like right to use that same tool to verify and support someone's innocence, when there is no evidence to the contrary (especially when the plaintiff recanted).

Please forgive my passion.  For the past few years, I have seen a loving, caring man do everything he has been asked to do; yet, it still does not seem to be enough.  He seems at times not to have the energy to fight.  WELL I DO!!!  and I would like to assist your group in any way that I can.

God Bless You
Diane
